Completed the Ghorepani trek. As first time trekkers and travelers to Nepal we were nervous about how we would cope with the altitude and culture. The company provided endless support and guidance throughout our trip. We were well looked after by both our Porters and Guide. Great experience.
Just completed a wonderful 23 day trek in the stunning Sagarmatha National Park. We arrived in busy Kathmandu and were met by the owner of Hotel Yambu the delightful Raj. He took us out for dinner, helped us to gather our final pieces of equipment and guided us with advice money changing and pretty much everything else we needed. Our adventure started a day later when and trekked to Gorakshep, Everest Base Camp then up into the Gokyo Lakes area. We (my husband and I) travelled with a guide and porter who were patient, kind and knew their way around the area, answering all our questions, naming the mountains and sharing their experience with us along the way. Our itinerary was fantastic. We walked 5 to 8 hours each day through the most stunning scenery ever. All meals and accomodation were included in our package which made our days easy. We just had to show up to our teahouse choose what we wanted for dinner and then relax with a delicious lemon tea and chat to other travellers from all over the world. Traveling in this part of the world does not always go as planned due to the weather, the altitude and other factors, but there was always a solution and plenty of time to adjust our schedule if we needed to. We had an amazing time and after trekking Raj again sorted our trips to Pokhara and Chitwan in the few days we had before flying home. Tony Parr, the Aussie connection has years of experience trekking in Nepal was great to plan with.Overall a wonderful experience in a beautiful country.
