This is part of our morning coffee run and we've always found the staff to be friendly and chatty. Prices are par for the course in Blackheath. Coffee is good and the food consistently good, cooked to how you ask. You do have to ask especially for eggs, that goes for every cafe I've been to across the planet.
I Struggle to give this place even 1 star, I ordered bacon & eggs on toast, i got 1 egg no toast paid $6 extra for Tomatoes (got half of one) and a spoon full of mushrooms for $20 and got told i dont make the prices sorry, eventually i got another half cooked egg and toast turned up after everything went cold. I think the staff where embarrassed as she told us just to pay for coffee only witch surprisingly was nice.I suggest that you try other cafes in the area ill never stop here again when passing through thanks for the snack!!!
Used to be a great little cafe, last few times were terrible.
I'm surprised by those who claim the coffee is good. The coffee is pretty terrible, standard, country town coffee. The music seems chosen to suit the staff (ie it's gee-up working music) rather than the clientele. Friendly enough, in a kind of rough and ready way.Place has a rather amateur feel and really needs to lift it's game. The Blackheath coffee scene is getting steadily more competitive and this place isn't competitive.
Well, the cafe must have changed since the earlier reviews. The staff (owner I think!) are not very friendly and are very abrupt. Prices are high for what one gets - there is no water offered or visibly available. Why one would go back a second time I do not know - particularly when there are many other good choices in Blackheath. Sad, but unlikely to survive in what needs to be a customer focused business.
